Privacy Notice (KVKK)

This text is a draft. The final KVKK privacy notice will be updated here once it has been approved by BYR Gayrimenkul’s legal counsel (Panel → Ayarlar → Site Metinleri).

1. Data controller. Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by BYR Gayrimenkul as data controller, to the extent described below.

2. Data processed. If you complete the contact, enquiry or “I want to sell” forms on this site, we process your first and last name, telephone number, e-mail address where given, the message you send and details of your property (district, type and area). For security purposes we also store information about your browser and a digest of your IP address computed with a key that rotates daily; your raw IP address is never stored.

3. Purposes. Your data is processed in order to respond to your enquiry, provide real-estate consultancy, match you with suitable properties, meet legal obligations and prevent abuse of the forms.

4. Legal basis. Processing is based on Article 5(2)(c) of the KVKK (directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract), Article 5(2)(ç) (legal obligation) and Article 5(2)(f) (legitimate interest), as well as on your explicit consent.

5. Transfers. Your data may be shared with our suppliers for hosting, e-mail delivery and bot protection, only to the extent the service requires and with the necessary technical and organisational measures in place. Transfers to legally authorised public authorities are reserved.

6. Retention. Enquiry records are kept for the limitation periods set out in the applicable legislation, counted from the conclusion of the enquiry, and are then deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights. Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to have incomplete or inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure where the conditions are met, and to object to a result reached against you.
